I believe compassion is the perfect embodiment of Oneness, the most complete expression of realizing that there is only one Life, so here is our meditation for today:
When I have food, may I remember the hungry;
When I have work, may I remember the jobless;
When I have a warm home, may I remember the homeless;
When I am without pain, may I remember those who suffer;
And remembering, may I release my complacency and bestir my compassion.
May I be concerned enough to help, by word and deed, those who cry out for what I take for granted.
Remembering that “May I” is not a request, but the setting of an intention, please take these words into your heart and sit with them in the silence for 15 – 20 minutes, so that they can become a part of your own consciousness. As part of your consciousness, they will change your actions, your life, and the world!
Love and blessings,
Rev. Sharri
