World Peace Meditation for 9-13-23

Dear Lord,

Grant me the grace of wonder. Surprise me, amaze me, awe me

in every crevice of your universe. Each day enrapture me with

your marvelous things without number. ... I do not ask to see

the reason for it all:  I ask only to share the wonder of it all.

Grant me peace, Your most precious gift, and give me the will to

proclaim its message to all the people of the earth.

Although differences in thought and belief divide us, let the love

of truth, and the pursuit of holiness, unite me with all life.

Strengthen the bonds of friendship among the inhabitants of all

lands, and may the love of Your name hallow every home

and every heart. May the one who makes peace in the

heavens make peace for us all.

World Peace Meditation for 8-30-23

Send Thy peace, O Lord, which is perfect and everlasting,

that our souls may radiate peace;

that we may think, act, and speak harmoniously;

that we may be contented and thankful for Thy bountiful gifts;

that amidst our world strife, we may enjoy Thy bliss;

that we may endure all, tolerate all in the thought of Thy grace  and mercy;

that our lives may become a divine vision, and in Thy light all darkness may vanish;

that we, Thy children on earth, may all unite in one family. Amen.

~~Sufi prayer for peace, “Peace in the Midst, Interfaith Prayers for

Peace”, Unity World Headquarters

If this resonates with you, you might take 15 – 20 minutes to soak  in the beauty and grace of this prayer; let it permeate your consciousness and fill your senses; let it color your day with peace  and joy.

                                                           Love and blessings,

                                                                   Rev. Dr.  Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 9-6-23

One with the power of divine peace, I am the very presence of

peace in my world. My thoughts, words, and actions are in

harmony so that I project peace from the inside out. I am clear

that peace is not a smile-face mask I wear but a calm, confident

generosity of spirit released from within. As day follows night,

peaceful action flows from my peace-filled mind.

I am the Power of Peace expressed in my thoughts. Releasing

thoughts that separate or denigrate, I raise my consciousness to

the God standard of Oneness. I bring about peace through my

thoughts.

I am the Power of Peace expressed in my words. My words heal

and harmonize, uplift and appreciate. Powerfully, peacefully, I

speak to right wrongs and improve conditions. I bring about peace

through my words.

I am the Power of Peace expressed in my actions. Boldly, I walk a

path of peace guided by inner wisdom. All that I do fosters mutual

blessings. I bring about pace through my actions.

Peace is in the midst of me as I become the presence of peace in

the midst of every circumstance.

~~ A Unity Prayer for Peace from “Peace in the Midst, Interfaith

Prayers for Peace”

If this resonates with you, please take 15-20 minutes to sit in the stillness of this prayer until you feel yourself becoming PEACE.

World Peace Meditation for 8-23-23

In the Hindu scriptures, it says, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam,”

which means, “the world is one family.”  All beings, from

the smallest organism to humans, are considered the

manifestation of the one ultimate Reality (God). Humankind

carries a special responsibility with the capacity to not only

tolerate the differences, but respect the differences

and acknowledge the fact that there are many pathways to realize

the ultimate Reality (God).

Respect and empathy for others is the key for a future we all

 can share.

World Peace Meditation for 8-9-23

Evoking the presence of great compassion, let us fill our hearts
with our own compassion – toward ourselves and toward all
living beings. Let us pray that all living beings realize that they
are all brothers and sisters, all nourished from the same source
of life.

May I be a guard for those who need protection, a guide for
those on the path, a boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to
cross the flood.

May I be a lamp in the darkness, a resting place for the weary, a
healing medicine for all who are sick, a vase of plenty, a tree of
miracles, and for the boundless multitudes of living beings, may I
bring sustenance and awakening . . . enduring like the earth and
sky until all beings are freed from sorrow, and all are awakened.

World Peace Meditation for 8-2-23

Dear God,

Silence my thoughts of confusion and anxiety.

Silence my thoughts of grief, despair, hurt, and anger.

When there is chaos and turmoil, shelter and protect me with

your peace and loving, powerful presence.

As I take this time to stop and pray, fill me with your peaceful

presence. With each breath I take, I breathe in your peace that

surpasses all understanding.

I surrender my unrest to you so that I may receive peace.

Help me to be a spark that ignites peace in others.

Help me to see your face in the faces of the people around me.

Give me courage and compassion to love one another even

when love seems like a risk.

Teach me to listen to those I disagree with, to hear stories that

make us uncomfortable.

Heal the hatred in the world around me by healing our own

hearts first. Amen.

~~ Christian prayer for peace, “Peace in the Midst,

If this resonates with you, I invite you to take 15-20 minutes to sit with the words and feel the peace they generate, then broadcast that peace.

O Thou who are generous and merciful!

The sun of Your mercy is shining upon all…

Your gifts encompass all,

Your loving providence sustains all,

Your protection overshadows all, and the glances of Your favor are

cast upon all

Let the light of Your guidance shine, illumine the eyes, and gladden

the hearts of all with abiding joy.

Confer a new spirit upon all people …

Unlock the gates of true understanding and let the light of faith

shine resplendent.

Gather all people beneath the shadow of Your bounty to unite in

harmony, so that they may become as the rays of one sun, as the

waves of one ocean, and as the fruit of one tree.

May they drink from the same fountain.

May they be refreshed by the same breeze.

May they receive illumination from the same source of light.

World Peace Meditation for 7-19-23

This week’s meditation is a poem by Rev. Dr. Ernest Holmes, founder

of Centers for Spiritual Living, and author of The Science of Mind:

Only love knows love

Only love knows love

Only love knows love

And Love knows only love.

Only peace knows peace

Only peace knows peace

Only peace knows peace

And Peace knows only peace

If this resonates with you, you might take 15-20 minutes to sit in the

vibration of love and peace and let that vibration become your

heartbeat and your pulse.

World Peace Meditation for 7-12-23

I believe compassion is the perfect embodiment of Oneness, the most complete expression of realizing that there is only one Life, so here is our meditation for today:

When I have food, may I remember the hungry;

When I have work, may I remember the jobless;

When I have a warm home, may I remember the homeless;

When I am without pain, may I remember those who suffer;

And remembering, may I release my complacency and bestir my compassion.

May I be concerned enough to help, by word and deed, those who cry out

For what I take for granted.

Remembering that “May I” is not a request, but an intention, please take these words into your heart and sit with them in the silence for 15 – 20 minutes, so that they can become a part of your own consciousness. As part of your consciousness, they will change your actions, your life, and the world!

World Peace Meditation for 7-5-23

This morning, as I meditated on peace, I received this "download” about equity (which is equality with feet on it), so I share it today instead of a World Peace meditation, in the hpe that it will be the first step in my, and your, participation in World Peace:

Practice the Principle

This is a call to action for all lawmakers – and we, each and every one of  us, by virtue of the power of the vote, ARE lawmakers. The single principle that has set the United States apart from all other countries and cultures has been that all people are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We have failed miserably in the practice of this principle! In particular, our Supreme Court has become a bastion of Nazi philosophy and suppression. We cannot survive as a country, a culture, or a species if we allow this degradation of basic human rights. We MUST use our hearts, our minds, our spirits and our votes to move the governing principles of the USA into the age of equity, that is, TRUE EQUALITY, for all people, not just rich, white, straight, cisgender men.

Failure to take this path of conscious evolution will ensure that we devolve into the inhumanity that was the hallmark of Nazism, and is the hallmark of Neo-Nazism – which cannot but destroy all dignity, all liberty, and all freedom for all citizens. We must not, we cannot, sit silently and “wait for it to pass”. We cannot expect politicians to solve this ingrained, systemic, and crushing crisis – the solution will only occur when we each commit heart, mind, and spirit, to expressing, implementing and embodying true equity in our thoughts, our teaching, our actions, and our votes!

World Peace Meditation for 6-28-23

“Namaste. I honor the place in you where the entire Universe resides. A place of light, of love, of truth, of peace, of wisdom.

I honor the place in you where when you are in that place and I am in that place there is only One of us.”

~ Mahatma Gandhi

If this resonates with you, you might take 15-20 minutes to sit in the silence with these beautiful words and feel the power of peace fill your being – then share that feeling with

everyone you meet today!

Recognizing the Summer Solstice today:

Deep within the still center of my being, may I find peace. Silently within the quiet of the Grove, may I share peace. Gently and powerfully within the greater circle of humankind, may I radiate peace. May the peace of the goddess grow in our hearts, and the dance of the god enliven our days. And may we care for the Earth and each other because our lives depend on it. May our intention be to empower the true light within that enables us to transform our lives, reach out to others, and heal our ailing Earth.

World Peace Meditation for 6-14-23

What causes war, no matter its “declared” focus, is a perception of lack, so our job is to change that perception on a global level. We must feed the race consciousness with the Truth that we live in an infinite universe, and we can do this by focusing on a single word: ENOUGH. We know that there truly IS enough of everything – food, water, money, shelter, love, compassion, joy – to fulfill the needs of every living being, man, woman, child, animal, plant or insect on this planet. What’s more, we know that all can be fed without any going hungry – that means nobody has to lose so that someone else can win! We need only change the way we think about abundance, and how we think about our world, from limited to expansive, from selfish to Self-ish. We need only remember two things – we ARE all one, and there IS always enough. Our job is to Recognize, Realize, and Remember, so that the planetary consciousness can be lifted out of lack and into peace. I invite you to make these your new “3 R’s”.

If this resonates with you, you might take 15-20 minutes to sit with these words: Recognize, Realize, and Remember: Enough! Let this unleash abundance in your heart, in your life, and in the world, and watch peace blossom!

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 6-7-23

"I choose a peaceful way. Peace begins with me. If I want to live in a peaceful world, then it is up to me to make sure I am a peaceful person. No matter how others behave, I keep peace in my heart. I declare peace in the midst of chaos or madness. I surround all difficult situations with peace and love. I send thoughts of peace to all troubled parts of the world. If I want the world to change for the better, then I need to change the way I see the world. I am now willing to see life in a very positive way. I know that peace begins with my own thoughts. As I continue to have peaceful thoughts, I am connected with like-minded peaceful thinking people. Together we will help bring peace and plenty to our world."

If this resonates with you, you might take 15-20 minutes to absorb this lovely meditation from Louise Hay. As you read, recognize the words as the Truth of your own heart. Feel the power of your own consciousness of peace. Be PEACE in the world.

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 5-31-23

We see the news of war, inhumanity, disease and hunger, and, in our humanness, we wonder, “What can I do – I am only one person?” Imagine how that thought’s perspective would change if we just capitalized one word: I am only One person. Now it means I am not alone, I am not powerless, I am not separate. Instead, I am One with all life and my thoughts, my beliefs, affect all life! I believe in peace as natural and real, so I focus my thoughts on peace, on oneness, and that peace spreads.

If this resonates with you, you might take 15 – 20 minutes to absorb these words, sit with them until you can feel your Oneness, our Oneness, the Oneness of all life, then keep that O capitalized in your mind and heart and consciousness, and watch peace blossom.

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 5-24-23

There is an old Unity hymn that is often used to prepare for meditation

called, “Our Thoughts Are Prayers”, and I paraphrase it here:

Our thoughts are prayers,

And we are always praying.

Our thoughts are prayers,

Be mindful what you’re saying.

Seek a higher consciousness,

A state of peacefulness,

And know that God is everywhere,

So every thought becomes a prayer.

Imagine how deeply we would experience peace if we followed the

admonition of this little song and kept the awareness, in the front of

our minds, that every thought is a prayer! If this resonates with you,

you might take 15 – 20 minutes to sit with these words and let them

become an anthem in your heart. Then go out and think PEACE!

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 5-17-23

What is peace? Peace is an inner calm, suffused with an ineffable and awesome joy. It comes from a conscious awareness of the presence of God in, through, around and as all life. It can be

experienced anywhere, at any time. It happens when we release the illusion of separation and remember the Truth – that we are all One life. Imagine that Truth in every heart on Earth.

If this resonates with you, please give yourself the gift of 15-20 minutes to sit with these words. Allow all illusion to fade and experience the peace that TRULY passes all understanding.

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 5-10-23

Today we focus on light as the symbol for our meditation. Light has been used as a symbol for life, for love, for understanding, and for God Itself for as long as people have used symbols. It is a powerful and moving symbol because it IS energy in motion – light never stand still. By its very nature it is constantly expanding and it travels without effort for years. We know this because we have watched a candle flicker, seen a searchlight’s beam, and observed the stars in the night sky. Scientists tell us the light we see as stars has traveled for years, sometimes centuries, to reach our eyes, so we can easily accept that light is eternal. Today, as we settle into the silence, let us repeat, silently or aloud these words:

I see the eternal light of God,

I know the unlimited light of understanding,

I feel the unconditional light of love,

I am the infinite light of peace.

If this resonates with you, you might take15-20 minutes and let each word, each phrase, resonate within your center until you truly radiate the light of peace.

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 5-10-23

Have you ever seen an optical illusion, like the famous

drawing called “My Wife and My Mother-in-law”?

One looks at this picture and sees an old woman with a

headscarf and a hooked nose, and then one blinks and the picture becomes a portrait of a beautiful young woman with a plume in her hat. What changed? It was not the drawing – the lines are unaltered – it was only the perspective of the one looking. We look at the news and see crises, panic, and victims, but if we shift our  perspective just a little bit, we see only other versions of ourselves, expressions of divinity walking a path that looks different from our own but seeks the same end – oneness, balance, harmony, fulfillment. It really doesn’t matter that the ‘facts’ are, the Truth never changes. When we shift our perspective, open our field of perception to see that Truth, peace blossoms in our hearts, and from our hearts it spreads uncontrollably.

If this resonates with you take 15 – 20 minutes to look at this idea. Allow your perspective to shift inward and your

perception to expand until you feel the opening of your

heart and the blossoming of peace – then let it flow.

PEACE:

Patience: breathe, relax and know that all is unfolding perfectly

Expansion: expand your vision to see the

Allness of what can be conflict to

Compassion: look for and know oneness in all beings. Connect at

     the heart

Everywhere: wherever you go, whomever you are with, whatever

you are doing, carry the essence and intention of Peace. Nurture

it within and spread it to the whole world.

As little children we learned the Golden Rule:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

As adults we learn the Platinum Rule:

Do unto others as they would have you do unto them.

As World Peace Creators, we use the Titanium Rule:

Do unto others as Love would do.

Peace is the inevitable outcome of internalizing the Titanium Rule

towards all beings – including, of course, or better yet beginning with, ourselves .

If this resonates with you, you might take 15-20 minutes to let the rule soak into your consciousness and the revel in the peace, grace and joy of living from it.

World Peace Meditation for 3-29-23

Today’s meditation is from Unity’s Daily Word for March 20, 2023:

Peace, be still. All is well.

Today I lay a foundation stone in the house of peace. I understand each person has a role to play in establishing world peace, and I am willing to do my part to help bring it about.

My realization of world peace begins in my mind and heart. I find perfect stillness within as I commune with God and touch the peace that passes all understanding. From this place of perfect tranquility, I radiate waves of peaceful blessings to encompass the world.

I send thoughts of love, healing, and assurance of the divine presence and power within me, just as it is with all people. Holding the world’s people in my heart, I affirm: You are love. You are peace. All is well. Peace, be still.

If this resonates with your heart, please take 15-20 minutes to sit in the stillness with this realization and allow the affirmation to become the mantra of your day.

Love and blessings,

Rev. Sharri

World Peace Meditation for 3-22-23

Our meditation today is an adaptation of the Buddhist Metta

Blessing. The four lines are repeated three times, with each of

seven objects, in this order:

1.Myself (I)

2.Someone I love (use the person’s name and hold

his/her face in your mind)

3.Someone for whom I have negative feelings (use the

person’s name and hold his/her face in your mind)

4.Someone I believe has negative feelings about me

(use the person’s name and hold his/her face in your

mind)

5. All people

6.All beings

7.All Life

The Blessing is:

May ______ be happy.

May ______ be free from suffering.

May ______ be filled with loving-kindness.

May ______ be at peace.

As you repeat this blessing, bear in mind that the verb, may, is not a request, but rather the setting of an intention. “May I” means “I am choosing to”; “May he/she/they” means “I choose to see him/her/them as”. The intention is not to change the other person(s), but to change the quality of their lives – you might even add another phrase to the end of each line: for his/her/their/its own sake. In this way we begin the process of revealing peace in ourselves and gradually expand its scope until that same peace pervades the entire universe.

If this resonates with you, you might take this practice daily for seven days and see what a difference it makes. You don’t even have to stop after seven days if you don’t want to! ;o)

When you become confused, stop and listen to your inner calm.

Turn from the confusion to that deeper something within. Say:

I am submerged in peace.

I am surrounded by peace.

I am immersed in peace.

There is nothing but peace.

Peace --- deep, calm, undisturbed.

The mystery message above is:

Peace reveals itself in me.

Peace perceives itself in you.

these words and know they are simple truth – for any “me” and any “you”.

World Peace Meditation for 3-1-23

God is at once the conceiver of every idea, the creative energy manifesting every idea into form, the intelligent structure of every form, and the substance from which every structure is composed. God is all there is and all there is is God. Therefore, love is all there is because God is love; life is all there is because God is life; peace is all there is because God is peace.

We see hatred, death, and strife in the world because we have forgotten this immutable and eternal underlying Truth. Let us be reminded, that is, let us re-mind ourselves, transform our minds and our awareness back to the truth behind all appearance, so that we lead with this thought: peace is the nature of reality, all else is ego-produced human illusion, so I choose to live from this truth. I choose to live in peace, as peace. We are now poised to promulgate peace on Earth – let’s do it!

If this resonates with you, you might take 15 – 20 minutes to sit in this idea and allow it to saturate your consciousness, then release the ego’s illusion and live your true nature.

I live and move and have my being in God. God made me out of Its own Self, Its own Substance. There is no place where I end and God begins – there is no place where God ends and I begin. There is only the One Life expressing in an infinitude of beings, and I am one of them. So are you. So is your mother, so is your son, so is your friend, and so is the one you cannot yet call “friend”. So is every living being. That means we cannot wish harm to another without wishing it for ourselves. We cannot wish ANYTHING for another without wishing it for ourselves. Likewise, we cannot intend any experience of good, of joy, of peace for ourselves without intending it for all living beings. Let us, therefore, stop sending mixed signals to the Universe - no more ill wishes for ANYONE, regardless of what we perceive their intentions to be! Let us intend only Peace, affirm only Peace, accept only Peace and live only Peace.

If this resonates with you, please take 15 – 20 minutes to sit with these thoughts. Let them sink in – into your mind, your heart, and your soul – until you feel the Peace, until you radiate the Peace, until you ARE the Peace.
