Hello, my name is Julie Sorel. I am a licensed spiritual practitioner of Science of Mind currently serving the One Heart Retreat Center and very grateful to be doing so.

I was born and raised in Connecticut. After moving to Florida in 1978 I joined the United States Air Force and served for just under six years. After leaving the military, my work experience was in the hospitality industry in Park City, Utah until I became an emergency services dispatcher, also in Park City. I then dispatched in New Britain, CT and at the Cincinnati/NKY International Airport in Hebron, KY. While dispatching at the airport I attended and graduated from the Louisville School of Massage. I had a massage practice for 20 years.

I learned about the Science of Mind philosophy in 2005 and was immediately in love with the teaching. It made sense to me. It spoke to me. It nurtured and healed me in many ways. After taking classes at the spiritual center I attended in Cincinnati, OH for five years I was invited into the practitioner training course and after two years of that training I became a licensed practitioner in 2012.

I have been a volunteer most of my life with the Special Olympics, battered women shelters, animal shelters, and hospice care. I would say my whole life has been in the service of others. That’s important to me. As a spiritual practitioner, I am open and willing to be of service to anyone who is in search of a deeper relationship with Spirit.
